Crop Improvement
I. Technical Support and Collaborative Research
GAITRI provides technical support services for different field crops on new variety import, breeding, standardization of agronomy and post harvest practices. Besides, GAITRI in collaboration with different Government and Non-Government organization encourages indigenization of best global practices in agri sector.
II. Setting Up Cold Stores and Tissue Culture Facilities
GAITRI provides technical support to the farmers and for setting up tissue culture facilities, cold stores, and fruit ripening units, etc. In this context, GAITRI has signed MOU with leading companies having expertise in construction and commissioning of these facilities in India.
Backward Integration
I. Aggregation of Agri Commodities:
GAITRI trains and promotes local firms and member farmers in different states of the country to aggregate the agri commodities as per the industry/market specifications and supply the quality raw material to the processors and organized retailers.
II. Supply of Certified Seeds:
GAITRI multiplies/produces certified seed of different field crops through its local business associates under the supervision of the experts. The seed is multiplied/produced as per the guidelines set by government of India under seed act for different crops.
III. Supply of Quality Farm Produce/Products:
GAITRI is associated with its local business associates having certified nurseries and farms and encourages them to follow integrated nutrient/pest management practices to produce quality farm products under the supervision of its experts and supply them directly to the end consumer under its registered brand name.
Sustainable Community Upliftment Program
I. Local Resource Management:
GAITRI believes that sustainable community upliftment can only be done by conserving local resources through community participation. In this context, GAITRI encourages socially responsible use of local resources with a particular focus on the quality life of both present and future generations.
II. Skill and Capability Building:
GAITRI helps in running rural growth centers in target areas to extend technical guidance for preparing garments, handicrafts, quality agri products, etc. Rural growth centres (RGC) are managed by woman business associate of GAITRI at village level.
III. Training on agribusiness Management:
GAITRI in collaboration with leading institutes and experts provides technical/behavioral training and short-term courses to the farmers, firms, companies, and agriculture graduates on agribusiness and crop management as per their business requirement.
IV. Farmer Support Centers:
GAITRI guides and supports its member farmers/business associates in managing farmer support centers with operation excellence. Farmer support centres (FSC) are managed by local business associates to provide technical guidance, agri inputs, and other support services to the farmers.
